Suggestions please...

My g/f and I are looking to get out of town for the weekend.

Anyone have any suggestions of where to go within say 5-6 hours of TO.

Also, if you suggest a city, pease let me know what there is to do there, any sites, and shows, events, etc. - basically stuff to keep us amused.

Thanks All!

Peele Island I think it's called... just do a google search for it cuz I've never been there, but my friends have gone and loved it.

step dad lives in ottawa...

i find it kinda dry, but its great to take the girl there for some "fun" , very relaxed environment.

I personally would go to Quebec city and stay in the old part of town by the water, but that is more like an 8 hour drive

Dunno if you wanna spend a fair bit of $$ but me and my gf went up to the algonquin park area and there's a lot of inns there. We stayed at this one in march about 2yrs ago. No kids and ****. Just couples.

Ottawa is a cool place, I lived there for 4 years.... Winterlude is nice, and there are some cool cafes you can check out, and little restaurants on Elgin as well as the Market. Tour the Parliament bldgs, or you can just go to Chateau Laurier and just have sex all weekend long in the finest hotel in Ontario probably (I know TO has some good ones, and Banff has some REALLY good ones)

I was gonna suggest the weekendtrips.com web site but Cosmic beat me to it!

I've been wanting to go to Winterlude the past couple of years just coz it looks like fun!! The last time I went to Ottawa was a couple summers ago with my g/f and I had a blast there! Since I was there in the summer I can't tell you how bad the winter is in Ottawa firsthand, but I've heard that it's cold like a b|tch! lol

You may want to in the hotel all weekend where it's warm... but then again that might not be a bad thing at all.
