so, will i have to slap in a spare hdd and install an OS and then re-attach the raid setup and try to save stuff or...???

i guess i have some drivers to relocate??

Don't know much about RAID, but if you have more than one partition, just move the stuff you wanna save to the second or third partition, then re-install the OS (if that's what you're planning).

If it's alot of stuff, and you wanna start completely fresh, burn your "shyt" to CD-RWs.

If you have another pc, network them together, and move everything to the other pc, until you have everything back up and running.

it won't stay stable long enuf for me to save anything..
2 minutes is about average..so even networking (it's connected to 3 others normally) isn't gonna do me any good atm..

thanx for the list of options tho

You can install a new HD and copy it from DOS as soon as you start your system up.

yer version of 2k..what do you recommend?? SP1 and Sp2??
anything else??

i think i've got it covered, found an empty 20 in rig #4, blasted it into the down system, installed 2k, threw in the raid drivers and away she went..have copied over most of the stuff (fat32 to ntfs, hope it got copied altight) and am formatting the 4 drives thru 2k to ntfs from fat32

so anyway, what ya think for updates pal??

Would you not fix a part of your car if there was a recall??
