Question Will parts go bad if it is stored for too long?

Question. Will parts stored in the warehouse go "bad" over a period of time? I don't know why I think this way but there is this place, that sells a set of Japanese suspension, brand new and are about 650 dollars USD cheaper than regular sell price. That's close to a grand of saving if I were to buy it in Toronto.

I just can't believe how much saving there is. So do you think it is a simple case of price slash or there is some hidden crap that others don't know about? i.e. manufacture defects, kinda like buying clothes from outlet mall.

I purchase from Robear pretty regularly. Good pplz there!

Parts don't go bad per se. Bushings dry up and squeek, grease in bearings dries up, etc. But no, it's nothing that can't be fixed. In extreme extended periods of time, brake seals may seize... but I doubt that'll be a problem in this case. If it were, it'll cost you like $30 for new seals for them to rebuild the calipers. No biggie.

Bruno, do they shop by USPS or UPS? One thing I worry about is the brokerage fee and custom. What do they value these two upon? The value or the weight of the item? If that's the case, will marking the new suspension set "used" and down to let's say, 400 bucks USD help anything?

OR, if I ship it to my friend in NYC and he brings it over, will he get taxed? If so, they will tax base on the receipt right?
