for the Motorola Q9, it has GPS. so the GPS signal is free, so what you have to do is have a whole MAP program like tomtom or whatever installed in the phone itself. So you load the program, detect where you are, and then put in coordinates of where to go and it can map it out for you in the program thats supported?
for the blackberry it has the GPS but you are paying for data usage im assuming your paying to load up the actual map screen

so you are willing to get an even worse camera and windows mobile? you're logic is off with this...the only thing the TyTnII has over the n95-3/4 is qwerty...are you sure your buddy doesnt have the n95-1 and not the newer -3 or -4?

if you really want a reliable gps...dont rely on the phone version. get a standalone unit which will always be fast and reliable. i think the manufacturers just try to jam it as a selling feature and high level...it does work too but can not provide what a real GPS can.
on a smilar note...if i fly over to europe...will a phone gps will pick up my location instantly like a standard gps would?
