Need some help with Windows XP
Where do I look in regedit to find out the cd key to windows that is installed on my computer. I'm formatting my other computer and want to use the cd key I used on my main computer cause its a valid key. I'm assuming its in regedit somewhere (I hope) if anyone knows pm me or reply asap, I need to start formatting the other one. Thanks!

The information is in the registry.
start > run > regedit
HKey_LocalMachine\software\microsoft\windows\curre ntversion
click on "+" signs until you reach "current version". At that point, click on "current version. On right panel, look for "productkey".

...I dont think you should be discussing this stuff in a public forum...Hes gonna find out you using an illigal key 
and sue you for piracy, for 1 million, so you might as well just pay the two hundred and get a legit key, save yourself a million bucks.... 
I havent paid for a legit copy of windows in my life, all you need is a corperate key and your set...it will do all your computers, no problems...muwaahh screw microsoft
