My movie night adventure...

My movie night adventure...
Ok, maybe it wasn't an adventure. It was actually quite sad really, but I had fun in a very low key way. All my friends were either spending time with their better halves or going out for a night of hard core drinking. My plans for the night had fallen through and I had gotten thoroughly bored. I had to choices, either stay here and get "creative" of go out and find my ammusements elsewhere... god help any of you if you are around me when I get "creative". Things tend to go horribly wrong and the numbers "911" are usually involved Though I SWEAR, the second time the science lab blew up in highschool wasn't my fault. Bluestone is totally inert. To this day I don't know how that explosion happened. (No comment on the first time... )
Seeing as how that wasn't what I wanted, I decided that even though I really wanted to blow something up, it was probably best that it didn't. So, next best thing was go WATCH stuff get blown up! So I went to go see XXX 2. I have to say that I was pleasantly surpised. I was expecting stuff blowing up and a stupid story line. I wasn't disappointed.
I will not ruin the story, as there is so little of it, that I don't want to take anything away. But I will mention a few highs and lows. First off, they BUTCHERED THE GTO. Looks like Ford bought the rights to this film because Mustangs, Shelby Cobra's, and F-150's seemed to be the only vehicles used. The GTO was used a bit in the begining but they put the NASTIEST body kit on it, and a really dumb looking grill. Oh lord it was horrible. I know this is a Honda site, but I think we can all agree that you should never do that to classic american muscle. The soundtrack was AMAZING. Very rough and in your face. I'm going to have to pick up the CD.
Blowing stuff up.... They blew up EVERYTHING! It was great! Just when you thought that they had spent their whole special effects budget on explosives... something else blew up! I loved this movie. Very fun.
I had two things about the movie that I didn't like though. First was the acting, which to be fair, I expected to be bad, but there were moments when I just wanted to reach into the screen and slap a couple people. The second thing that I didn't really like about this movie was that it seemed very "black". When I say that, I think I mean more "anti-white". There was a definate racist undertone. It seemed like they were making a lot of racial stereo types by making all waiters black, and making a whole lot of anti white comments. I just think that the movie was doing more to perpetuate the cycle of violence between races than it was to make everyone equal. But then maybe it was just me. Either way, I really enjoyed the movie.

i didn't see any anti-white sentiments..... nor any racial tones. Ice Cube is a black guy from 'the streets'. His friends are going to be the same.
If you ever go to the states and hang out with local, you will see that races don't mix together as much as we do here in Toronto.
Met big black guy from Finch and Jane in Florida who moved there was complaining about all the racism and segregation.
The movie was good for one reason and one reason only.
Ice Cube.
I think his best movie is Ghost on Mars though.
He had the most one liners in the movie.
Drop dat gun fo i cut off dis dyke b1tches head
