A lot of driving!

Yesterday i drove from Winnipegg to Edmonton, a little over 1400km door to door! (i have family in both cities) Wedensday i did a 1200km stretch from Wawa to winnipegg! Its been a lot of driving (im by myself) but im going to take it easy now. My furniture does not arrive in Victoria until wedensday so i see no need to hurry. I've been averaging about 400km a tank if a stay below 130km/hr. Less if a go more. For those of you who don't know i have a close ratio 5spd with LSD, so 80km in 5th is 3000rpm. I like all this driving we live in a vast and beautiful country, anyone who has not driven it i highly recommend it. Well got to go but ill check in next time i have access to the net!

dude thats a small amopunt of driving .. try, Toronto to PEI in one jump then PEI to newfoundland. then newfoundland to Halifax. then Halifax to toronto then Toronto to Sault ste. Marie. then to Thunder bay then Winnipeg then Regina then Calgary then multiple day trips to Red Deer and back. followed by the trek back to toronto which I dread but have to do.

I love driving too. I'm pretty sure that I'm draining the worlds gas supply. I'm fortunate that my GF lets me drive her car everywhere we go, even if it is a protege. I'd much rather drive my SiR, but i'll save those km's for cruisin

you dont have to, check your manual, honda recoomends changing your oil at longer intervals than that... and prolonged steady-state running of the engine during long trips can extend the life of oil anyways since your heatup/cool down cycles dont wear the engine and you get less contamination in the oil

Driving is fun especially at night on a long stretch of hwy. I do Tronto - Miami at least twice a year and it's awesome. 24 hours of non stop driving ... well other than for gas and food.

Well, i made it to Victoria it was about 5000km from home. Unfortunately the moving compamy has not made it to Bc yet... So, i get to live in a empty apartment for the next few days. I guess i could have taken some more time travelling I used a ton gas on the drive sometimes fillung up 5 times a day (although i never let the tank get much below half for safety reasons. My best fuel economy was through the mountians surprisingly enough. I did 400km to 30 litres of gas, verses the 300km to 30l i was doing normally. I guess all the down hill coasting and the traffic which stiopped me from driving to fast....

t_dot_SiR i did bring a litre of oil and a filter just in case. I but that litre in edmonton, but did not need to change the oil, though i checked it today and its starting to look a little dirty. I guess the 6 or 7 hours driving nonstop at 5000rpm burned up a little oil on the praries.
