Looking for a good GPS

Hey all, I'm checking out GPS units, any suggestions for what to look for? I'm looking at the Magellan 1400 series, looking to spend between 150-200 bucks

Here is one

I picked up the Garmin 250w last week and very happy with it. It was a toss up between that and the Tom Tom 330. Mine was 199 before tax.

Another thing you can do is go to the Best Buy website when you figure out what GPS units you like and do a compare to see what the differences are.

Just so you know, the items at Tiger Direct are refurbished items.

Thumbs down

Yes, most of TigerDirect's stock is utterly worthless garbage. It's the only store I've ever visited where the returns line is consistently longer than the purchase line.

There's a location a few minutes from my East end workplace & I've returned (for exchange) a set of Motorola S9 Stereo BlueTooth headphones 9 times over 2 months. I absolutely love the device, but each model has had a distinct problem.

With each time I've returned the item, the look on the CSR's face (when they see a 4 foot receipt stamped countless times) has been priceless. 1 guy in particular I've gotten to know has admitted being embarrassed to even work there. I also relish the opportunity to shamelessly -and loudly- invite fellow cheated customers awaiting exchanges to proclaim their dissatisfaction.

The second (of 9 times, so far) that I've returned the headset, I saw our on-contract computer technician (responsible for our entire network division holding terabytes of sensitive social/personal/financial information) waiting ahead of me in line to return a portable hard drive. 1 acknowledgment nod & we've never spoken of the encounter since...

^ ^ ^ That's a disgrace--nine exchanges in the space of two months...
