Home networking help!

Computer A has Rogers Cable hooked up on it and i installed a 2nd ethernet card, now, Computer B has one ethernet card and is about 35-50 feet away from Computer A!

does this affect speeds on Computer B?

is the RJ45 male-male, hub to hub, and/or pc to pc cable the right one to connect the 2 computers?
e.g. FS Cables

thanks, gotta do this today!

yes speed is going to be effected slightly but not between the two computers...

the two computer network can pass files back and forth in no time but computer b will suffer a lil lack of performace in internet speed nothing to bad though

oh and give me your rims

ICS DOES suck....

A router/firewall/wireless appliance would be a good investment....

It is important to not that these are not true firewalls and only block incoming traffic...

But they do the job for the price...

I used ICS on windows 2000 for over a year and not one problem, till my bro installed a game and I had to format his comp cause it messed up ICS.

A few weeks ago we bought a SMC 4 port cable/dls router from FS for $49.99

Originally $99, with mail in rebate etc.

Works great.
