Full "M" license test

Hey all, for anyone that is nervous or post poning their M road test because they're unsure, let me tell you there is nothing to it at all. They told me on the phone when I booked that it would be about 30-40min. When I got there, that 30-40min included the time in the center checking in, the chat that the tester has with you before and after the test and getting you set up with the mike. The road test itself is about 15-20min. I did mine in burlington at the burlington power center at brant and qew. They take you along north service road to king rd, down king to plains, left on plains to the qew niagara, ur on the highway for one exit the get off at northshore blvd, turn left to go under the highway and get back on hte highway going north towards Toronto, you get off at the next exit which is plains rd, go along to king rd, up to north service rd, and back over to the drive test center.
Watch your speen if you're riding a sport bike as they are 50-60km/h and its hard to stay that low. Make it blatently obvious that you are checking your mirrors as well. If you have any questions let me know, I just finished mine and passed with only 6 errors.

Astrosi, the only pointers i really have are what the tester told me, just relax and ride like you normally would, watch what side of the lane you are in, ie if you are in the far right lane you should be on the left side of that lane to block other vehicles from cutting in on you
Chris, you can judge ur speed by the other traffic on the highway, i asked the tester about whether he wanted me to drive at the posted speed limit or with the flow of traffic and he gave me a little speech about my bike and how he knows it will be hard to keep at low speed so he wouldnt ding me for doing 110-115kph. but make sure you ask him these questions. i never got outta second gear on the city streets and only got to third gear on the highway for like a minute. it was very hard for me not to just tear it up on the highway as thats where im most comfortable and do most of my driving. he told me after that i should always be trying to go into the right lane after a turn, so obviously turn from left lane to left lane but as soon as you're done the turn go to the right lane, not sure why. if it rains too much they will reschedule your booking. my appointment was at 810am and i was there at about 730am to see if there was anyone else going before me i could talk to. biggest thing, just relax cuz its very simple and you will laugh at it afterwards. let me know how you guys do, and if you're upto riding soon. chris, i already added you to msn, im J_Clarke21@hotmail.com

Yeah I saw you added me. I guess we haven't caught each other online yet.

And riding the limit sucks! I had my dad follow me the other day, I had to show him where my cousins house was. Of course he drives slow.. so I never passed 5-10km/h over the limit. I felt like I couldof walked faster.

haha, im assuming you guys did your M with the SS bikes, its just funny, even though you guys are riding so slow, i bet both you and the instructor new that thing would be ripping across in normal circumstances.

I plan to get a bike soon, nothing fast, maybe a cross breed like a 1250 bandit or something.

you guys ride safe.

ya i know how you feel with yor dad going slow, my mom doesnt like driving long distances and for her.....winston churchill along burnhamthorpe to 427 is too long and she gets scared lol. she wont do it by herself so i have to lead the way and try not to lose her going like 50kph. its funny, as soon as i finished the test and the paper work i ripped out of the power centerwith everyone watching lol. I LOVE ATTENTION!!!!! when im on my bike, i take rides down town just so people look at my bike. getting pulled over by the cops isnt that bad either when it happens cuz they see i am military and i have a lot of cop friends.
usdm- ya i asked the instructor about the posted speed and speed of traffic and he said "i know you have a fast bike and its hard to go slow so between us if you go 110-115 on hte highway im not going to ding you" he and the other driver in hte car actually had a bet as to which gear i was in going along the north service road lol.

haha, that is awesome, i hope i find a similar instructor when i go for my M.

honestly i know some guys who don't like getting pulled over by cops they just gun it if they feel cops are close by, i don't know why, but they say whats the point of a fast bike if you still get pulled over.lol
