electric cars

i was watching the discovery channel this morning when i woke up and they had this little thing on electric cars. they had all the usual stuff like zero emissions etc etc... then they showed this car called the T zero. it was powered by 58 or 68 lithium ion batteries... one of those is whats probably in your laptop... but anyways this thing goes 0-60 in 2.9 secs.... basically out accelerating most exotics... and with zero emissions.... the only catch is that the top speed is 100mph(161 kmph) but still i would buy that thing in a heart beat... although its not for sale and they never said how much it would be for sale

Was this the car that could fit like on person, and it like no wheelbase? But could handle well because of the weight of the batteries? If so I've seen it, it was funky looking, but was insanely fast, cause those electric motors are all torque.

electric motors are more energy efficient then gas ones what this means is torque is made at the low end and carries right through the power band .... want to see something interesting .... take a look at where the insight makes it's peak torque... with some mods to that car I be4at you can get that electric engine adding torque throughout the power curve.....

no doubt it's cool, but with all the tech you'd think they could have bought something better than 1980s sealed beam headlights

regardless of how fast an electric goes it will never have the same fun and excitment as a gas, just hearing the engine REVVV up thru the power band, its half the fun. whach and indy or nascar race with it on MUTE, theres electric for you.....not as fun eh?

Thanks for the definition

I'd prolly drive an electric car if their prices were reasonable and they looked half decent lol.
