anything, BUT I don't like shipping from the states
so yeah, anything in the area that I can pick up, and get to check it out for myself.
You'd be supised of what stuff comes up, as long as you check back often.

Look guys,

Shipping is unavoidable..

I am going to pay $75 for shipping of heavy glass items from socal.

I don't want to but what choice do I have?

If you wanna play with the big boys you gotta pay..

Just avoid getting fleeced by the seller cause your in Canada..

Yeah you can buy pretty much anything on there, Of course you have to be careful of what you are trying to purchase and look carefully. Obviously if a seller is selling a used water pump for more money than a new one you don't buy it lol I've bought and sold many things off there, mostly from the states. Customs/brokerage has been ok, I usually try to get them to send the part via USPS Stay far away from UPS or prepare to get raped hardcore with crazy brokerage/duty fees. But yeah establish a good rating on the site and you won't have any problems as ebay has a great buyer protection program.

Shipping can not be avoided, but it can be lowered to far more pratical levels. As can tarrif charges. I have got raped a few times by customs. They charged me $150CDN to bring over a 100gb HD I bought for $20 on eBay.

A good way to do it is declare the item as a warranty replacement or if possible find a friend that lives near the border and use his house as a drop location (on the US side of course).

That way you can just pick everything up in one order and when customs ask what you are moving just say you are a student and your picking up some stuff for a friend or some BS.

Just use the feedback ratings, they are their for a reason.

I've bought automotive parts off e-bay for dirt cheap and went to pick them up at a friends house...

With duty, as long as the part was made in mexico canada or the u.s you shouldn't get taxed... I could be wrong..

Shipping cost is unavoidable though

Well I wouldn't go that far. There are alot of guys with 50-100 feedbacks and ship fast as ever. I very rarely order from guys with 1000+ feedback, because most of them charge retarded handling fees to increase profit. There are ALOT of places like that in Toronto that sell cheap electronics on eBay and charge $25USD handling on every item.

Yeah.. check out the shipping charges. Add it up what your total will be with EXCHANGE. Check out a few local places to compare prices. For myself if it's within $30/$40 difference I'll just buy it local instead of ebay. A LOT less headache (fraud, lost, etc).

Word. I don't but off ebay unless I am saving atleast 20% off the lowest retail I can find.
