Computer HELP

hey guys got some problems wit the computer
(not mine)
when my aunt starts the computer up it says something about DIMM is out of rev or something and it doesnt start up.
What could the problem be? its remains in the dos mode screeen aswell. I tried to pess f11 or f8 to run scan disk that aint workin aswell and its on windows 98

I can't help you...but I see you have a SE to EX conversion...does that mean you just did a SOHC VTEC swap or mini-me VTEC conversion? Ohhh...it's off topic

if its bad memory does that mean i have to change the actual memory or is there a way to refix it?

as for bbarbulo the ex never came vtec remember we are talking 4 dr here. only el's came wit thed16y8 v tec's the ex came wit the same d16y7 but wit like 5 horses more i think

Open the case..

Make sure memory is seated correctly...

Do you have 1 or 2 Memory chips..

If 2 or more test one at a time...

If 1 buy a new DIMM...

thanks alot man.
so thats the only possible problem right?
wit the info that was given?

Also if it is the memory after i change it thats all and everything will be up and running or will i have to reinsall everything?

Possibly mobo...

Sounds like memory...

That should be it if you get a new memory stick...

i agree memory all the way..

try flushing the capacitors.

unplug the power cord and hold down the power button for about 5 seconds, replug the cord and try again.
