anybody know anything about watches?
I bought this Timex watch in the summer while I was in the US, and recently I have started having problems with it. Its one of these analogue/digital combos (I haven't had an analogue watch in a while, used to wear an Ironman watch), and recently (seems since the cold weather has hit), the analogue part seems to lose time every once in a while, sometimes it will be 5 min, sometimes 25. The digital however remain unaffected, I've had the battery changed already and it still seems to happen. For this week to test it, I have left it in my room and the time has remained intact.
anybody know if this is normal with exposure to cold weather? (I'm a ski instructor on weekens, so I spend a fair bit of time in the cold). Do you think it could be a cheap battery the guy put in? or is it just a cheap watch and this is part of it? (although I do really like the way it looks)...
thanks
this is what it looks

update: I don't think its cold, I was sitting in class today, and knowticed that the time was off, and the second hand not moving, then I twisted the adjuster thing (not pulled out, so it shouldn't do anything) and the seconds hand moved backwards, I'm going to call Timex tomorrow, see what they....

I had the same problem with my old Timex (or I assume the same). The second hand at some points not even move, but you could tell that something was trying to move it as it kind of moved a little bit. Maybe a slipping gear or something of that nature. I just went out a nd bought a cheap walmart watch that looked similar.

Timex has a warehouse / customer service centre in markham (warden & 14th area). You can take your watch to them to have it fixed / replaced. If there is actually something wrong with your watch they will fix it, or at least be able to advise you on your problems with it.
