my buddy at work has a $7000.00 Colnago road bike... crazy paintjob and light as hell, me myself cant get into road biking.. thats me though...
i had an older style specialized hardrock. Sold though
and i bought the rockhopper!
was going to get a KHS mtn bike, but i felt too presssured into buying it from the guys, saying this bike is for you etc... the more i come to think of it, i never really needed a Full suspension. i really dont like the feel.... but thats me.. Hardtail rules!! IMO
as for riding.. lets do it.. im in..

I've found since I've been riding full suspension I can climb a little better, because I get a little more traction on the back wheel because of the suspension pushing down...
but ya, as for a group ride, I'm in...

there are advantages to full and hardtail and going uphill has ther advantage of full b/c of traction, but cross country with a full is just a waste of energy IMO!
what i really like is Trials mtn biking!! damn thats awesome
type in Danny Macaskill on youtube.. that guy is amazing!

I used to strictly ride hardtail too...
then I tried out the SC heckler on DH (Kelso), what HUGE difference!
FS isn't really needed unless your doing DH, but the ride sure is pimping. The hardtail will beat you up on certain courses.
I'll take the pimping ride for the energy loss (that a sign of age?)
