V6 Camaro, a good choice?

i've drove stick in traffic and its not so bad so long as you keep a nice gap between you and the other person usually i just roll on second in traffic but yes i can see why people would hate it
sometime i miss automatic... then i redline and forget what i was thinking about :P

Ive also had a soft spot for the Mustang and eventhough its v8 might only make a little more power the the Camaros v6, it is a much more refined car. Smaller and lighter, nicer inside and the 2010 Mustang gets many refinements to the motor and chassis and the interior exteriro has been making restlyed slightly. Its a very nice car IMO.

people that think stick is the coolest are usually young and think it's über cool. Stick sucks for daily driving in city. A slush box is way better, I love driving the wife's car cuz it's auto unless I wanna go for a spirited drive in the country

good thing i dont live in the city

I'm not that young. I find I have more control, don't have to hit the brakes much, as long as you leave space you shouldn't need to shift that much. Plus you get better fuel mileage with manual.

Thanks for all the input everyone... lots to consider.
The more I think about it, the less concerned I am about missing out on the V8. rick10, it would be my one and only daily driver, so fuel consumption and winter driveability are important, and yes, they are areas of strength for the V6 over the V8 (with price of course being the key advantage).
I will not go out and buy one right away. For one, I would wait for the 6 speed manual, I guess I have gotten used to commuting with a manual car. Secondly, it would be good for the first year kinks to get worked out first (although I am not sure I want to wait a whole year, lol).
DumbasSi, the Mustang GT would be more enticing if it was closer in price range, but the 2010 starts at $38k. The 2009 GT's are $4k or $5k off, so they are $29k right now, but I think I prefer the Camaro V6 to the 2009 Mustang GT. I should really go for a test drive to confirm though.
Nonetheless, I am impressed with what I have seen so far!

if its going to be your daily driven there isnt much to consider. Power is good but 420 is useless in city driving.
The mustang gt is very nice, but very pricy too. Plus like i said before the camaro v6 is has almost the same power as the mustang gt....
Someone mentioned the genesis which is a sick car too
I just think camaros , mustangs , charges are all in a different category ... maybe not powerwise , but i mean these are head turners cars and collectors car, hard to explain , but having a muscle cars instead of a genesis , its like owning a harley instead of a ninja bike if you know what i mean...
I rather own a camaro or a mustang than a genesis , speed 3 or evo ... but thats just me ..

Still prefer the Genesis or Mustang. The Camaro and the Challenger seem like overdone showcars to me and not very practical. Ive seen a few Camaros and Challengers on the road and they have all been driven by middle aged guys.
