Steering wheel re-wrapping shops?

Any avid car owners have re-wrapped their steering wheel by a shop or done it themselves?

I have a Momo wheel, the leather has some severe crack and beyond your regular "worn" mark, chipped leather if you will. I suppose what I need is to have the leather completely removed and re-wrapped.

If you know a shop that does such work, please post it. I am willing to traval between Whitby to Oakville for a good work. Photos of example would be great, too.

Thanks

Parry Sound, that is a bit intense for driving...

Any chance you have the contact info of the said upholster? I wouldn't mind speak to the man first.

Thanks

you could always ship it to the guy in parry sound if you don't find another option

if it was me, I'd give it a little DIY love

Do you think it is possible for him to do both wheels? I mean I don't think there is a problem, but I will probably have to give you the wheel in person and have you bring it to him. Do you deal with him on a regular basis? Can you get a quote from him?

I have one already, I bought this one hoping the leather was still in good shape, and have asked the seller to provide photos but he sorta not answer in that regard. Then it arrived and looks like crap... and from the photo, it looked dished, but it wasn't... and shipping was a lot, but I thought it was all worth it, BUT, it wasn't LOL

Overall, not a smart purchase. At least I like the design, which is 2 spoke. I am using wood steering wheel and am afraid to crack it one day from track use, so I want to save it and get something that I can abuse without worrying too much.

IF, rewrapping cost too much, to a point I can buy another mint used one or a new one, then I will just use black electrical tape to cover up the damage.

ok, so i talked to burt and he said that he wouldn't do it..for the reason of, you can buy a new cover, pre-cut and already has the holes in it for the stitching...he said it's easy to DIY

if you decide not to repair the wheel, then i believe i can get a new momo wheel at cost through the marina

I have seen such repair kit online, they are like 33 dollars plus shipping, which is indeed, not that much.

Cost for Momo wheel, how much are we talking?
