People had talked about it, but there aren't really any "reliable" sources (e.g. Car and Driver) publications
It'd be amazing to see that car around on the road though

Damn you people were gettin me all excited and all...
Ya I seen that pic all over the CRX boards. Personally I love it. Looks like a baby RSX. But the "purists" dont want another CRX. I dunno...
I just think they should make it only a 2 seater and keep it light and drop in the K20 from the RSX Type S. Mmm... High 14's... stock...
Hey I can dream, can't I?

The website's dated September 2001... over a year ago. You'd think by now we would have heard something about it. I hope Honda does go through with producing this proposed vehicle... it's a very nice, clean design.
I think the world is ready for another CRX-like Honda.

With the new 3dr SiR I don't think there's room for it in the lineup, 'specially if we get the CTR with the good K20. Don't get me wrong, I do like it though.
I don't undertand why the CTR's not in North America yet, I understand the emissions related problems with the previous gen's B16 but as we all know the current CTR's powerplant is already here in the RSX Type-S.....oh! I think I just figured it out...it's called sales cannibalization....same motor, lighter car, less $, gee which one would you buy???

If that CRX were to ever come out I'd definitely get it once I finish school.
But since that wont happen as StewPiddass pointed out (which is true) I'll have to settle for an RSX Type-S. Well maybe by the time I finish all my schooling the Type-R will be out here in Canada...

Cut out the back seats, shorten it, stiffen up the chassis, make the body not as tall and cut of $10G but leave the same Type-S powerplant THEN you have a car to be reconed with.

Regarding the rebirth of the CRX. If you want my opinion, I don't think we will get it in North America. Why?...Insurance. The Civic is one of the most stolen cars out there. Two door cars are always more expensive to insure than similar four door cars. Ditto with two seats. I would bet the insurance rate on something like that would be over $5,000 a year for someone who is 20, a university student with a clean record. I don't know many 20 year olds who would be able to afford that... If you are younger or not in univesity, it would just be worse.
Regarding a CTR. From what I understand, it won't happen. It isn't the cannibilization thing either. 3 door Civics are made in the U.K. Labour in the U.K. is very expensive...worse than Japan. I heard if they were to bring the CTR to Canada, it would have to list for $35,000 just for Honda Canada to break even. I heard SiRs are just breaking even or being sold at a loss. There are a lot of cars you can buy in Canada for $35,000. For example: The '03 RSX Type S is just over $31,000.

I think what they did was use that design in the making of both the RSX and the SiR/CTR. You can clearly see how the front half of the car resembles the SiR/CTR, and the rear half resembles the RSX.
IMO, this particular car won't be available for sale, but there's the two that they derived from it that are.
If for some wacky reason they did start building them and they were available here, I'd buy one. au revoirs SiR!
