Before you jump to say its an S2000....check again. It might look like one but its not....that sound cant be from a four banger...its a beefy V10.
So testing the new powertrain under a mule of a discontinued model is definitely...FTW..lol

looks like they are just using a beefed up S2k To test the NSX powertrain
The hood line has been beefed up and the passenger compartment is also bigger. This test mule is very close to the new 2009/2010 NSX and Honda could be using this heavily modified S2000 to test the upcoming powertrain and platform for the next NSX. Notice the four tailpipes in back, the huge B Pillar and the heavy-duty double wishbone suspension.

that is not what the next NSX will look like.
they're testing the V10 using the S2000 chassis. not sure why but possibly because its the only other RWD car that Honda has in their lineup currently.
the new NSX body is still being designed.
