This summer im possbily going to be in the market for a new or newer car. ill either put my car away and dedicate it as a track car, or get out of the honda/modified scene for good, or atleats till i get my

i have a few here listed of what im going to be in the market for. i just want to see what everyone opinion. wont reallyhave a affect on my choice though.

Kia Forte Coupe.
Cobalt SS turbo.
2011 vw golf.

i wont be modding any of these if i choose one. dont want to hear about the performance potential they have, most likely i alread know.. its going to be a DD

Cobalt's are supercharged...

Crz was really fun to drive. I experienced the same thrills from my 06 si and it's 80 hp less!

Out of all those cars I'd choose VW golf or a CRZ.

Btw, you know korean and indian car manufacturers use recycled metals from submarines right?

Hold a radioactive meter to a Kia.You'll be surprised.

^Not the newer ones. The newer cobalt SS's are turbo. Same car as the HHR SS turbo. Friend of mine has the HHR SS and damn is it quick. He did the GM stage 1 upgrade (replaces a few sensors and reflash of th ecu), now it's even quicker. The turbo they have is perfectly matched to th engine which gives a huge wide power band. It spools quicker than a mazdaspeed 3 (I've driven a few) and overall the HHR/cobalt is a quicker/better handling car than the mazdaspeed 3 and caliber SRT-4, stock vs stock.

That's my recommendation if that is the type of car you're after. Though, I don't really like any new(er) cars so I wouldn't buy any...lol.

Oh, cool. Didn't like the supercharger, but this looks tempting. Just read its a 13 second car.

^Don't like superchargers either...lol. Yeah for sure, with the GM stage 1 upgrade and some better tires, they will hammer out a 13.9 easy.

btw, welcome back.

Hey thanks for the warm welcome.

I'll be trolling this site and dseries.org often. Just picked up a d16z6 last week and I'm starting a 347 whp build on a Del Sol. Seen a lot of profiles of Del Sols pulling 400 whp+ on a D series.

Although I'm going to ride on stock internals and a turbo for abit. Coast around 220 hp before I take it to 347 whp.

Your MR2 inspiried me...although couldn't find a decent shape MR2 for $500.

Why not look into saabs and volvos? Sweedish performance may just surprise you. Moreover they are just so damn comfortable.

An 03+ 9-3ss are quick stock, decent on gas, handle fairly well for stock and just a blast to drive.
So are the newer t5 volvos. Depending on your budget and the size you're looking for, its worth while to look into some of them.

Saabs and Volvos are great cars.

They just don't retain their value like a Honda. Or many other cars for the matter.
