LEase Transfer Fees- Help please

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew if when transferring a lease if their is usually any sort of transfer lease, specifically Nissan.

I might have found someone to take over my lease from my 2005 Sentra so I'm hoping that no such fee exists.
I presume their is some fee with the MTO to transfer ownership but I have no clue how much that would be.

I know thata downpayment would be between me and the buyer/lease taker overer person.

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I need to move this car asap and am not sure how to go abouts this.

Thanks!

As far as I know, as long as he checks out financially with the lease company, he can assume your payments. I do not believe there is a transfer fee...............if I am wrong someone correct me. I am trying to do the same and I asked about what needs to be done and there was no mention of a transfer fee.

with honda there is a $300 lease transfer fee... probably about the same with nissan... i am sure its industry standard... they want to make as much money out of you as they can... expect it.

Thanks mikepasini.
I guess I could call Nissans # and ask them.
I do remember when I was signing the lease they told me that their was a $400 fee if i cancelled the lease plus the depreciation. They would waive the lease cancel fee IF i signed for a new Nissan.

But thanks again

I just took over a mazda and the lease transfer fee was close to $500.00 but included a new set of plates. Every manufacturer is a little different

Well Nissan charges 500+tax as well as their is a lien on the car against me regardless of whether or not I keep that car until the lease is up.
Its for that reason I am HIGHLY doubting I will get out of my lease now...

Really? Nissan said its just a credit check and then once me (or the person that takes the lease) pay the transfer fee, I don't pay anymore.
If only I could find someone!
