Looks like most people vote prelude, but i just love the way the gsr looks, id get it in silver with a cf hood, CAI, and slammed on blades, thats it! Also id imagine that driving the GSR feels more like driving a sports car just because its smaller and lighter...hmmm
I heard that preludes are pretty bad on insurance too, i still gotta call my insurance company...plus they will waste more gas and burn more oil...
I dont understand why GSR's are so hard to find, there is way more type r's in the autotrader, and like 2 gsr's one going for 16,900 and one for like 17,900...thats crazy...

sounds like you rather pick the GSR, don't let us make up your mind, go test drive one and see how you like it.

Hmm im getting other ideas in my head now, like perhaps keeping my car, just taking off the body kit (cuz i have to drive it this winter) and maybe getting a swap done, cuz either way im losing money, i know im gonna lose alot if i sell it...i dunno its driving me crazy

Its on par with a Civic SIR (6th gen), and is a bit faster than a GSR with equal drivers and conditions etc.
Yes the lude is heavy, but also has more power under the hood. If it had a D16 then yes it would be pretty bad.
The 92-96 Prelude VTEC is pretty quick, not much faster than the 5th gen preludes with H22 but a wee bit faster because of their weight.
The SRV and other models are not as fast though, so make sure you get the VTEC if getting the 92-96, but they are expensive because they are more rare, sorta like an ITR integra.

Alex,
Long time no talk...sucks that your selling the civic. I had to make that choice a couple months ago & I got a 99 Teg' I can honestly say that I am still getting used to it....I think I am having seller's remorse. So my only advice to you is think long and hard before you sell your baby.

civic sir stock is about 15.7-15.8 stock quarter mile...
the integra gsr is about a 15.3 from what i remember.
The lude is nice..but remember... 2.2L = more gas.
with the gas prices now.. honestly..i love my civic. laugh at all the guys driving a 2.0 or bigger :P

GS-R ranges from 15.2-15.7 from 94 to 2000, and diff drivers
SIR is about 15.7 - 15.9
The ludes fuel tank is about 60l civic is 45
I got about 450-500 on the civic, and same on the lude, so gas mileage is only marginally more on the prelude under same driving situations

I guess thats why they always try and say you gotta replace other parts when warranty work is done, to make up for the loss

Teg if you want speed and want to Modify.
Lude if your going to Leave it stock.
Ive driven both and the Prelude is one of the most Fun FWD car's Ive ever driven. So nice stock. Set up nice and well balanced. But they are a crappy platform to make fast. A GSR will alway's be faster in the real world. There much better geared.
Have you considred an Integra LS? There are a Few of them around Fully loaded with leather and sunroof. There probably right in your Price bracket and Insurance. With the Money you save you could get a Full Turbo Kit professionally installed running 7-9psi. you'll have to buy premium gas if you buy a GSR or Lude anyway's. There's ton's of daily driven Boosted Honda's. Why not? Integra LS with leather,No wing, No badge's running 8Psi. Pure Sleeper. Fast but still tame enough for the Street.
