let's agree to disagree
no one is knocking anyone for making choices in life. cuz that IS life. just that there is a few of us hardcore ppl who can not accept driving the same car as someone else. like me, even if I had a 1/4 mil $$$ to blow on a car, I would not buy an exotic, cuz I know some other shmuck out there can go out and buy the same thing... no... I'd BUILD me a car that reflects ME. same goes whether it's a $50 car or a $50,000 car, I can't accept someone else driving the same thing as me.

Again, not reading and missing the point. What I said was respond to POSITIVE and NEGATIVE threads respectfully. Never said you couldn't have a negative opinion. If you feel his tone was demeaning (which I didn't) then great, you responded, but they way you did, was pretty demeaning in itself. So you pretty much basically by your description, you did the same thing.

"It is not your pottie training lesson, it is not a phase where you quit your mother's milk and start drinking homo brand. "
Not demeaning? So how should I feel if I consider modding a car a PHASE? (WHICH I DO)
"Please do not say that you are bored of it and think you have been involved in the scene when you don't even know what the true essense is. "
Not demeaning? You know what, at times I AM bored of it. So then it's assumed I don't know what the true essense is?
He says it's NOT directed to any person, but if a person reading this feels like the things he mentions in his post, they will become negative towards it. Doesn't matter what his POINT is anymore, there are better ways to put your point forward.
Either way, I don't really even care anymore.. the CARING PHASE has passed...

Everyone knows some dood that has thrown a tonne of cash at a car and modded the hell out of it. Then one day that guy goes and sells his car because he realizes he's completely broke because he's thrown every penny at that car. I seen them come and go.
Some folks who are in it and it seems like they have stock cars. But over the course of years their cars slowly change a little here and a little there. Then eventually they have something that is beautiful but it took you a little longer to notice it. Unfortunately some people aren't around long enough to notice the subtle changes.
The people that tend to stay with any activity for a long time are those that do it with patience and humility. They realize things do not happen over night and that they are always learning. The goal is not having a tricked out RIGHT NOW, but the joy and pleasure of having a hobby that is your own. Everyone has a life cycle whether it be a year or 20 years and its their attitude that dictates how long they are in it.
"The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long"

"Slow and steady wins the race"
