Honda Canada's Website...

...blows. Do you guys find that any decent information you would want is on other websites? I'm not talking technical info, but more so latest news and such. I find the corporate website to be boring and lacking in ifo, pics, news, and technology. 2006 models are often not fully updated, etc...It's annoying.

Well you gotta think...there's more enthusiast then employees of Honda. So there's bound to be more talk amongst the enthusiast right?
But where do the enthusiast get the info from? Maybe Honda doesn't want all the info release officially but the people that have the connections for the knowledge ****** the word? Who knows

Well, there's supposed to be new colours for the Element and a new EX-P trim level with all of the mouldings painted...I went to check it out and it's not there, nothing's updated for 2006, and lots of the info I wanted was difficult to find.

And when you 'Build your own' car, it doesn't even show what you built, it just shows the basic car in the colour you want.

This is true, you see the option on the U.S. website I believe with the option of having colour mouldings.

A "possible" problem, The Amercian division hates dealing with it's Canadian counter-part and gives them the 40 feet of red tape so they are not out done.

That's the way things are at where I work.

LOL..probably...then again, if I wasn't so lazy I would go to the dealership instead of depending on the internet for answers to everything...

When I found out about my Reverb last year (I had a Honda source in B.C.) I went to my local dealer to try to get more info on it's release. The sales reps knew nothing nor did the manager. They'd heard some rumors but no actual data. Apparently, from what the sales manager told me, Honda Canada always keeps their new products somewaht secret to try to build hype and excitement for their big releases.
I think it works to a degree. I mean their site is a little boring, and should be better updated for the new models, but when you only get little snippets of info on their product, it entices you to talk about it. If they gave you all the info upfront, there'd be a lot less chatter about their product.
That's my opinion. I think it's all marketting. However, their site does need a stiff kick in the rear for current released info!
