Help! Need to decide on an engine.

I have an 89 civ dx hatch. My motor is almost on its last legs. I need suggestions as to what would work best in my car. I was thinking SOHC V TECH. Does anyone already have this settup? Could anyone tell me what I would need for this swap and how much it would cost to do it? Thanks I appreciate any help I can get. What about a 95 integra swap into my car? (Non v tech).

zc or b16

BTW, that would be vtec, not "V TECH"

(variable valve-timing & lift electronic control)

yes but be ready to spend LOTS of money, you can't just do a straight h22 sawp, you gotta do so much more work, upgarde brakes, suspension etc....

Here are your basic prices on swaps...complete...harness, ecu, tranny, driveshafts and labour

All approximate values but in the ballpark range for your car

B18C5 (type r) - $7000 to $8000 based on availability
H22 - $7000 to $7500
B18C1 (gsr) - $4000 to $4500
B16A1 (sir) - $2000
Si, LS, GS - $600 to $1000
