hey all. im picking up a universal exhaust for my civic later this week. and i need to have it hung and have some adapters put on to make it fit right. i would take it to the mufflerman but they are kinda a ripoff. i remember getting quoted at 115$ just to have a exhaust mount replaced. as in cut off the stub, weld a new one on. the shop manager said that was insane and cut it roughly in half. but still. is there any reputible places that will be able to hook me up? that might be a little better than going to like mufflerman or something?

how is $115 a rip off? well if your universal muffler has a much wider diameter than your stock piping then i can understand why the manager doesn't recommend it. i'm assuming it's your average 2.5 inch or so inlet and 4-4.5 outlet and they will have to put some sort of reducer on the pipe so that it will fit properly. they will also need to make hangers. you make it sound like it's a simple job and it isn't worth 115 bucks but imo it's average. jobs like that are usually 1-1.5 hrs of labour so the price is right.

no i was talking 115 to replace a rotted exhaust mount. 15 minute job. at least i was there 15 mins. and not on a civic on a ranger... and the shop manager said the quote was insane. not the fact i wanted to chance it lol.. wow. either i suck at typing or someone read to fast lol

my car is way quieter i can hear VTAC!
