CX question (EK)...

Does the tach-less CX hatch (5spd manual) come with a rev limiter?

Yes (I have a CX) and in the snow spinning tires in first for fun it does have a rev limiter (can hear the engine bouncing in RPM because of the fuel cut off)

whenever asked where the tach is on my car I just point to my ears.... does anyone know if I can get just a shift light with an ajustable RPM on it?

Yeah, the engine still knows it's rpm....and can limit it through fuel cutoff....it just doesn't tell you Well, I gotta tell you, I had no tach, and I had no idea how fun these cars are until I got a tach. I used to think that redline was 80 kph in 2nd gear, then I got a tach and found out 2nd gear was good for 100kph. I recommend getting one... $150 for a cluster ain't bad if you ask me.

cool shift light. maybe having a tach would be good too. I'm seeing the same thing with me think 2nd is good to 80kph then by forgetting to shift I discovered no fuel cutoff at 90kph I wonder how high I'm revving it. maybe getting a tach and a video camera (so that I can keep my eyes on the road) would be a good idea

haha.. same here... in my 6th gen with a DX tranny, I found out my fuel cutoffs at St. Thomas.. that means I was well into redline right?

1st - 55 km/h
2nd - 100 km/h
3rd - 140ish km/h.... not totally sure, cause I ran outta space.

I want to be on a big long runway so I can push it straight fast.
