Do you know a mechanic?....If so bring it to him or bring him along.
Safety with the car is usally a good thing, or just try to find some grandma who drives one and get it of her. That's waht I did, then at'least you know it was'nt beaten on!
When I bought my car the 68 year old lady gave me a service manual in alphabetic oreder!

And just beacause a car is modded doe'sent mean its in bad shape, especially if the person who owned it was mechanically inclined!

Dexst, have you checked on insurance rates? They can be very, very high for that car.

how much he want? im looking for a new car lol

i know Mike that you were generalizing that statement and obvious in good faith.
as for my car i have I/H/E and pullies, suspension was done right, stock everything else, tranny fluid was changed, sparks and wires, rotor and cap, oil changed at HONDA every 5000kms

i would sell it for sure, just b/c its winter but once summer comes i cant let it go.
but then i couldnt justify getting myself into car payments again... but i would definately consider a EK hatch

There are a few guys on the board who might be willing to help you out. chrisv2 or zeeman maybe. You could take it to a Honda dealer or even a TCC Affiliate.

In an earlier thread, you said something about 5-7 price range. I dunno if you can even find a nice SiR for that.

I guess even if a car was beaten on, its a Honda so it should be able to handle it. I'd be perfectly happy with the previous owner performing basic maintenance.

Dude also keep an eye out on here, i have seen some sweet civics on here for sale in the recent past, in your price range too, i think there was a sonic blue sir with a h22 in it going for 8k i think, and another silver one for 6k, wish you joined earlier could have got one of those.

i'll keep an eye out if i see something nice in your range, and im guessing your hooked on the B16 sir coupe right, in blue? lol right.

Really?... I own a 2000 SiR that is electron blue. lol.

As for the wing, I believe they came with no wing or a tall wing, like the one on my car. I have seen a hand full with the shorter wing on them, most likely added by the owner.

Also, it is the number 1 stolen car, 3 years running, and when you live in a higher theft risk area, you can expect to pay truck loads for insurance.

They also hold their value really well, as long as you keep it in really good condition.
