Who is able to register the odometer reading on to carfax, the owner using a Carfax account or by the DMV? The reason I'm asking is because I had a free promo for one carfax report, but anyways I typed in my mileage to recalculate the warranty I have left. Now here's the problem, when I typed it in, it was in miles instead of kilometres ( I live in Canada), now I'm worried that the mileage I entered is going to be registered on to Carfax and then when I try to sell it, its going to show a different odometer reading then what I have on the car. So do I have anything to worry about? Or is it just to see/check how much is left on the warranty?
