What amount do they tax you on? When do they tax you? At the border or when you register the vehicle? Also... what amount do they tax you on? The retail? wholesale? or the amount you paid?

you have to pay tax when you register the car...I believe tax is charge according to the actual value of the car and not what you paid for it. bringing a car here from the states is very easy and should not be compared to importing a car from over seas
