b16 in ek?

hey guys ive bin into the honda thing for a little while now but never did any big swaps othe then helping a freind do a b18 ....ive always wanted to do a swap but never looked up how or if i can put a b16 from like a 91 civic into an ek 4dr so if you have any sugestions on what ill need to do the swap please lmk like do i need a conversion harnes or what not lmk what you guys think

gawd dammit!!!

to make it as least headache as possible, this is what you should do

-99-00 civic si alternator
-obd2 b-series injectors
-99-00 civic si or itr distributor
-99-00 civic si engine harness
-jumper harness to your obd1 ecu

everything will be direct plug n play and you'll do no wiring at all
that's just wiring. as for mounts, axels, and all of that, you'll find that info in ANY b-series swap into EK guide.

thank you now that helps lol ..for the 99-00 si stuf does that have to be DOHC or can it be SOHC parts and wiring ? ...im sorry for causing a hassle i just wanna do this once and not twice well at least untill i upgrade

Complete Walk-Through for B18C(R) Swap Into EK? Actually Searched...Nothing Amazing - Honda-Tech

Mounts:

Timing side bracket - 99-00 Si
Timing side mount - stock 96-00 civic
Rear T-bracket - 99-00 Si
Rear mount - stock civic 5-speed, 96-00
Topside tranny mount/bracket - 96-00 Civic 5-speed
Front tranny steel bracket with three bolts - 99-00 Civic Si or 94-01 Integra 5-speed
A/C bracket - depends on a/c or not (Del Sol VTEC if keeping a/c?)
Front anti-roll horseshoe mounts - Stock Civic 5-speed

Shift linkage:

99-00 Civic Si or 94-01 Integra (and use Integra or afternarket short skifter)

Axles and intermediate shaft:

94-01 Integra, 94-97 Del Sol VTEC, or 99-00 Civic Si

Also misc. parts from 99-00 Si:

Upper and lower radiaor hoses
Throttle cable/bracket
Heater hoses (if replacing)

so once i get all that stuff everything will be straight forward im pretty sure ..the only thing im confuzzled about is wiring thats all

just have your buddy there and have a helms. I'll probably attempt my 1st swap this summer with a B20. gotta learn sometime right?

you are exactly right man that how i got into the honda thing was my freind(older sises bf) lol he had a ek hatch black with a fully built b18c1 gsr ...but unfortunatly we barely tlk now and hes out of the car scene ...so ill be doing all by my self ya hoo

id like to do a b20 vtec but i think itill be allot harder then just this b16 lol

so i guess wer in the same spot .......LOTS OF LEARNING/RESEARCH

well im prolly gunna just start with refreshing the motor with gaskets and clean it all up ..are you putting a b20 with a b16 head?

and what do you mean by a helms???

what kind of car you got and motor?

hey guys. I'm also putting a b16a on my ek, I just got a hasport bseries mounts. Do I still need to get those t/side brackets?

I think you just get them from a 99-00 si .I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure that's what the guys told me
