yup to drive across the border you do not need a passport..

well not net, Sometime next year to enter the us from canada by land you will need a valid passport. but not yet so everyones good to go

I dont know what you guys are talking about b/c every time I went to the States lately I needed a passport. You go ahead though, and go w/o a passport and see what happens. Good luck!

my brother went two weeks ago with a couple buddies and none of them had passports, Maybe u fit there profile.

As far as the meet, If i get my car back together Ill go.

I know this is off topic, but you do not need a passport to cross into the states as of yet. A Birth cerfticate and a valid government issued photo identification should be sufficent. I go there all the time to shop. And I have never needed one.

Well Im heading down now and staying the night in the falls at my mom's place. Actually its in Port Colborne but thats like 15min from the falls.

If anyone would like to meet at the my mom's house and head out from there let me know. It almost exactly 1/2 way to Rochester and it will give you a place to rest for a few mintues if need be or use the washroom.

Ill be available all night long because Ill be driving and hanging out there with my mommy LOL. You can call my cell at 519-722-3076. There is parking for about 5 cars and then the whole street aswell. It would be nice to cruise in a convoy.

NINJA EDIT: You do not need a passport to get across the border. All you need at the moment is photo ID to get into the US. If you are asked for birth certificate when coming back into Canada and you dont have one you can be up **** creek and spend a whack of hours on the US side waiting for the information to go through and filling out lots of paperwork.

This link here shows all the information necessary to get into the US from Canada. It should end this debate. Also the Passport thing doesnt go into effect untill Jan 8th 2007.
