Front brake lockup after GSR rear disc swap

Hey guys, still pretty new to the forum. I have tried searching but couldn't come up with anything. So I have a 99' dx hatch that I swapped to rear GSR brakes, but left the front stock. From all the reading I've done this should make it slightly prone to lock up the REAR brakes more easily. Instead, I've found it locks up the fronts dangerously easy in the wet and provides almost no stopping power. The hand brake works fine, and on jackstands the rear brakes appear to grip. Could this be from improperly bled brakes? Other ideas?

Did you change the front pads at the same time? What master cylinder did you use?

Stock front brake pads on DX rotors (99 hatch), and stock GSR rear rotors. All else is stock DX, including small master cylinder, brake booster, and prop. valve. From my understanding this should have shifted the bias slightly to the rear from the drum setup, not the other way around?

That is weird. Usually, with just swapping over rear brakes, the difference is hardly noticeable.

How are the brakes in dry. You mentioned you lock up easy in wet, but how is it in dry? To be honest I am stunned. I had rear disks on a dx eg hatch and i couldn't really tell the difference between that and my old eg coupe with drums.

If i had to guess for the cause, i would honestly say the proportioning valve. stock is 60-40 am i right? 4wheel disk brake setups use 40-40, should allow a more controlled stop and brake more evenly. That is just an educated guess. Maybe somebody else will chime in with some advice/confirm this.

Swap the prop valve for a gsr, SiR, type R valve.
