identifying brakes

recently bought a 97 si coupe. the seller claimed it needed pads. i went to part source and the pads they gave me were far to small in length. they claim they definitely gave me the right pad, so assuming i have some sort of upgraded brake, how do i know what kind it is ??

thanks,

It is most likely the si front brakes. Measure your current pads like its shown in the picture, those are for 99 civic si. The dx brakes were 127mm, so if it seemed like you were about 1cm too short, then somebody swapped your brakes for front si brakes.

You might have SiR, GRS front pads/rotors/calipers on that car. I believe they are larger.

So if its 137.7 then you have 99-00 SIR brakes. Though i believe 96-00 SI brakes were the same in the front.
