EKproject

i have a 1996 civic coupe...had a broken valve..replaced the valve...when put back together..it started fine..but as soon as you start it...it redlines..so i have to shut it off..it acts as if it has a wide open throttle...yet the throttle is closed..any suggestions what it could be would be great..im thinkin when i pushed the intake manifold back...maybe a vacuum hose came off...not sure though..any advice/opinions would be GREATLY appreciated..thanks for your time

check to see if you hooked everything back up properly, and that you didn't knock anything loose/off. then check to see if you moved the idle set screw. it doesn't take much and the throttle will look closed but under no load the engine will rev fast and easily to red line.
