Camber kit questions

**Mod's, I may posted my question in the wrong section..My apologies. If you feel that it needs to be moved, please do so..Thanks

Hi all. How is everyone? Brand new member. I'm sure that this forum will be a great place to refer to from experienced members.

I have a 98 Civic EX and a few years ago I was side swiped and my front was damaged. It wasn't considered a major accident, but enough to misalign my car. While getting an alignment after the accident, the mechanic concluded that it can no longer be properly aligned with its current control arms. He suggested to install an aftermarket adjustable control arm(camber kit). At that time I didn't really ask questions about the kit as to why that was the only solution. My car is not 'suped' at all. Can someone explain what the camber kit actually does and why it would have been the only option at the time?

What I'm finding difficult is the camber kit tends to wear and tear quickly especially on the right side. It is currently 'clicking' while driving, braking and when going over bumps on the road. My mechanic diagnosed the problem yesterday after holding the upper control arm and pushing the car up and down the noise stopped. This would be the second time I will be replacing it and the cost of this part is quite pricey at an average of $250/side as its only available through performance store.

Would anyone know if there are other places in the GTA that I could get this part from at a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance.

google CB Automotives, get a second opinion, their my mechanics and never done me wrong. They can also get u the parts, they use strictly Honda OEM stuff and its usually cheaper then getting it from Honda urself call them up and see what they can do
