HELP: Pioneer ACC line error

hey,

I just got a new Pioneer DEH-P80MP cd/mp3/wma deck installed in my car by a professional audio shop. Whenever I turn up the music pretty loud, I get a "ACC line error" on the screen of the deck and it doesnt go away until I turn off my car. I got them to hook up a power line to my battery inorder to get 60w x 4 instead of 40w x 4. Does anyone know what an "ACC line error" is and how to fix it ? All input is greatly appriciated, I wanna get this fix right away. Thanks....

Try taking it back to the shop that installed it for the fastest and safest fix. Im sure theres warranty on the product incase its a technical problem.

Now I just got a "DC/DC conv" error, no clue why this happens when I play my music loud. Its fine if I have the volume at a low level.

First off, that deck does 60w x 4 without any other equipment. You don't have to hook up this supposed "power line" your talking about to achieve more power.

I've never heard of hooking up a power line to achieve more power from a deck. If you needed more power for your speakers, you should have just bought an amp to power them.

I would suggest going back to this shop, and tell them to remove this power line, or whatever your talking about, because I've never heard of this power line thingy. This is probably causing all your problems.

I've had all sorts of pioneer decks in my car, and I've never had any problems with any of them. Sounds like you went to some shady audio shop.

Check your owners manual and it will tell you what that error code stands for. I don't think it has anything to do with the power wire coming from the battery, probably a bad deck. Do you have warranty?

What kind of answer are you looking for? check the owners manual that's what it's there for, how does your question have anything to do with knowing about car audio?

Hi,

I just checked out Pioneer website for specs on that deck. I couldn't download manual unless I was a member. However the best thing you can do is

1. Take it back to your installer and have them fix it.

2. Read the manual and hopefully fix the problem yourself.

W/O looking at the deck in person I really couldn't say what the problem is.

Also educate yourself on some terms. ACC usually stands for power only when the key is in the 'on' position.

BTW: On my Alpine CDA-7998 deck all the wires are a bit beefier. (sp?)

what are you trying to do with your 2 decks. Do you have a screen and a deck??

btw, this so called power line thingy won't add anymore power to any deck, regardless whether your running 1 or 2 decks.

That's not true, the thicker wire to the Battery will let get more current to the deck. Some of the higher end Alpine's suggest you run it direct to the Battery.

I guess you got a point there.

However, I'm still wondering why he's running 2 decks??
