auto swap questions

I picked up a nice Civic Dx with just over a 100k for a commuter . The tranny was messed up . Drive3 and OD had very little "pull" barely any tesion unless u put the pedal to the floor . Checked all the shift solenoids and they were fine so I am gonna swap in a tranny from a 1993 dx I pulled a cpl years ago for a 5speed swap . Its low mileage I just need to know what/how to swap the sensors. The new tranny has a sensor on the tail that the old tranny didn't come with . No hole no mount . Do I need to swap the whole rear housing ? Any info would be great guys Ive been outta the game for a long time . Thanks .

auto to manual is not just a direct bolt in swap really. you can buy mounts that allow for a manny trans into a auto shell, but otherwise you gotta drill out the spot welds holding the top mount on the trans frame rail and relocate it. You'll also need the 5 spd pedals for the brake and clutch as well as you'll need the clutch master and slave cylinders plus the lines to connect them. You probably also want a 5 spd ECU or I think you'll have CEL's

Thyr is no mount for the outter sensor on the tail of the tranny furthest from the motor . I believe its considered the outter speed sensor.

ah sorry the 5 spd swap part I read wrong. I've only done a couple auto trans swaps on civics and never from one gen to another so I can't really say much.

I bought a. eg civic that the guy had an ek trans on it, it was a manual trans. My brother has an eg auto with what we believe is an ek auto trans or a late 95 trans. I've read on other sites where they mix and match d-series auto trans.
