Auto to manual

hey y'all

I'm going to be doing a conversion to my 95 civic

Just wanted to know where to go to get it done and the price of labour

Also, would how much cheaper would it be if I had a donor car?

I'm going to have to go cheap on this but is 1000 a bit too low for labour and parts or is 1000 just labour?

It's not that hard to do, your only adding a clutch pedal, changing the brake pedal, adding the clutch master, hard line, and slave. And if your doing it well your doing a engine swap, they will be having the engine and tranny apart anyway, so maybe $1000 for the 5 speed swap with all the parts for it, including clutch kit, and flywheel.

tranny mount is different too if I'm not mistaken, make sure you have the correct ECU etc...having a donor car always makes things easier

Yes the tranny mount is different. You can check the shops on the forum here. Yes a donor car does help out alot.

Kk but does any1 know a shop that'll do it all?

By all I mean :

Do the engine swap and supply the engine
Convert to manual with them supplying all the parts
And replacing and rewinding the cluster with a manual cluster

All in all I'm expecting to spend 4 thousand on this WHOLE THING ( the engine will be a b series)

So am I being realistic or retarded?

I'd just say buy a car that has a B series in it already and that's 5 speed. You could most likely get them between $2500-$3500, and spend the rest of the money on other parts or other thing's, just a though. I picked up 2 92 eg8's for under $3000 both with B18's.

Horrible, horrible use of money. It depends what engine you want, but even if you can do it 4000 it's just a complete waste of money. When you sell your car you're not going to see pretty much any of it back. Your car will be worth maybe 1000 more$ due to the swap so you'll be down 3k.

Just go sell your car and buy this or something:

1999 Honda Civic DX Hatch with GSR Drivetrain Price: $5,000.00 - Toronto Honda Cars For Sale - Kijiji Toronto

99 EK, already swapped, for 5 grand. If you get a gradn for your car it's within your swap budgets and it's a nicer newer car..

You can buy an EG with a B series for less than two grand..

If you do end up getting it swap though call Igarage for a quote - Igarage - Markham for the #, great shop. I just don't know if he can supply the engine or not but the price on labor is great, and he is really honest and knows his stuff (works on 90% Hondas).

If you want it done cheap its probably easier to do it yourself if u have the skill, and time. I did it over the summer with the help of a friend, wasnt too bad. Probably cost me about $800 total but i had to buy an air compressor to get the damn axle nuts off, those are a biatch. $400 of it was for a parts car.

If you need all the swap parts let me know, My car was totaled recently and have to part out

waste of money . The car is old , dont waste your money . If you have 4 gs to spend i would highly recomend to sell the car you have now for 1 - 2 grand then you ll have 5-6 to spend and trust me you can get a much newer and nicer car.

5-6 gs nowdays you can get a civic 99 and up (5 speed and all)
