What mods are illegal in ontario?

Just wondering what mods are illegal in ontario. I am going to put a turbo in my car and would like to stay within the legal limits cause of the roadblocks on the way to Cayuga. i know cat convertor is a must, but what about a resonator? Also what about catch cans? these are my biggest concerns, but I have heard rumors that now, a turbo itself is illegal if the car dint comw with one from the factory. What are your opinions on this matter, and where can i get more information on what is legal and what is not?

i did search....found one thread but it only said that some turbo kits are carb legal.... To be more specific, is a turbo system on an integra illegal? I am putting together my own kit and was wondering if the turbo would be illegal since my car dint come like that from the factory.

in the link it says nitrous is legal, as long as its secured, vented (in a hatchback) has good lines running to the motor, lines away from heat sources, and the bottles away from the crumple zones

You watch way to much f and f there my friend, nitrous doesnt just make the car explode in an accident. That would only happen if the tank somehow managed to rupture and it still would tear the whole car to pieces. Also nitrous in itself is not flamable, it must be mixed with oxygen and under compression to even be combustable.

Not if you keep it a closed loop system and route the lines back into the intake.

The search tool is a wonderful feature. That link is old. I doubt adding a turbo is illegal as long as the emission controls are present and function correctly. It would probably void your insurance policy though if you didn't tell them.
