gotta be more to that story....

OPP are in charge of the 400 series hwys and take all calls that pertain to them. any police officer for any police force in ontario can issue tickets on road in ontario (except for the very rare exceptions like native reserves and private property) so i call bluff on your opp cop towing a barrie cop for being out of his jurisdiction. i especially dont believe it becuase barrie city and opp work very closely together. their stations in barrie are even across the street from each other

I have 2 stories....

First, I was driving home from Wasaga and I was going about 160 in the passing lane, and when I looked in my mirror, I saw a cop with his lights on right behind me, and I was like oooh crap, so I changed lanes preparing to be pulled over (crapping my pants now) but he went zooming by as I changed lanes.... about 30 minutes later when dropping off my buddy at Beeton, right at the off ramp, there were cops (must've been like 5 cars) that pulled over a van with like 8 people in it.... lucky break for me (it could've been unrelated, but at the time, I was like "thanks van people")

Second, sometimes in the speed traps, the cops actually jump onto the road to wave you in. While I was working at Apotex on Signet Rd in the weston area (if you know that street, you know that it's a very long straight stretch with a speed limit of 50km/h so people speed all the time... anyways, I was having lunch outside with some collegues and I hear tires screetching, so when I look over to where the sound was coming from, I see the cop jumping back onto the grass.... it was pretty hilarious but I guess the guy in the car must've been changing his radio station or something
