:S Don't ever..

Well.. I was driving along Coxwell about 20 mins ago, and a cop stopped me and said I was going 18 over. I replied with a really stupid remark: "You guys are trying to make a little more money huh?" he replied.. "WHAT.. DO YOU WANT ME TO PUT THIS TICKET BACK @ 18 SO YOU CAN GET IN **** WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY, NO? I DIDNT THINK SOO BUDDY". I felt so stupid ..

Lesson learned: Don't mouth off to the cops.

point being..you sped...rule one of getting pulled over is SHUT YOUR MOUTH... if you give them a reason to go to court you'll never beat it but if they dont care about you and you show respect they have no need to TEACH YOU A LESON...

Well, at least you know for yourself that it was a stupid remark. If a cop tells you he's gonna drop the speeding to 10 over, the only thing you should say is "Thank you officer". I'm surprised he still left it at 10 over for you.

And i was doing 18 over, i wasn't watching the signs because I was talking to someone, a minor mistake that ended me up in a $40 fine, you people make it sound like I was doing 100 over. Jesus.

Racing on the street is for kids. Also, my comment was directed at the comment you made to the cop, not the 18 over. I'm sure a lot of people here have done 18 over the limit.

I wish the cop had given you a ticket for 18, would've taught you not to mouth off again... if he's dropping it why would you even say anything?

Ok, so you admit to paying more attention to your conversation than to your driving. That seems worth hitting you with a ticket. In the extreme it's worth a careless driving charge.

Paying attention to silly things like sign and traffic controls is part of driving. If you can't do that and talk at the same time, then simply don't talk when you're driving.
