well all i have to say is peel does suck and they have nothing better to do than chase around civics that are modded.
p.s. every ticket that i got i fought and the cop has never shown up because they know the tickets they hand out are usless.
just want to waist the time of hard working civic owners.
bunch of bitchs they are.
Looks like cops do a good job at what they do then...making u scared and makin u watch ur speedometer like a lil kid ....and making u understand that if u come in peel you obey all the laws. Peel is a great place! is what i've been saying the whole time....watchin over ppl who come in that don't belong...and making sure they don't break any laws.

Bunch of Bitches and i thank them for that, for letting me reside in a safe place.

lol you guys keep talking about how them pulling all us over makes the community safe?? show me one example of how that's true?

and cynikal, if you think it's unfair for me to 'blatantly defame' the Peel Force... don't you think it's also unfair for them to label me a street racer because i have a civic? my car is barely lowered, i haven't had one speeding ticket EVER because I don't speed, but my white turn signals are making my community unsafe? oh i'm sorry... or maybe it's me 'looking suspicious' driving around at night going for coffee at a timmies... to me 'looking suspicious' is being stereotyped.. and for what reason? cuz i have a civic... hell who knows it could be cuz i'm black too.. i'm not even gonna go there. but you guys still haven't shown me how me getting pulled over all the time = a safe peel region..

i'm sure the title alone is what got most of you arguing in the first place, but i'm still unaware of how generalizing a force, when stuff like this happens repeatedly, by different cops each time, is unfair of me..? especially when nothing has been wrong each time, when at the end of the way it's all just been a big waste of my time and your tax dollars.. i guess not everyone really cares what their tax dollars get spent on.. seems to me the trend of Canada these days... I wouldn't be bitching if i had done something wrong, i've even asked a cop before who's a friends dad to look at my car and tell me what was illegal and he said it was fine, it's obvious BS tickets, but I guess cuz it's not happening to you i'm not entitled to my opinion..

Pulling you over for that white signal makes a safe community, because let's say a old lady is driving on the road, which all old ppl should be banned from the rd. anyway...LOL my opinion just like SilverSiG you entitled to yours...lol, but anyway back on track.....say your on the street, and an old lady is in the oncomming laneway, and in some streets in peel they don't have a designated left turn lane on the littler streets, the sun is on her side and u flick on ur white light with cleared our fronts, she will in noway see that and just continue on.......potentially causing an accident ...........that could be a possiblity..right?......and then that can cause the person following to closer behind her to smash and rear-end her as well . . . 3 car collision....

but i personally don't care that u got the ticket...w/e.....we aren't arguing about the ticket nor it'z legality

i just find it upsetting when ppl critsize cops for doing there job, there here to protect you.......to protect ur family memebers. right? and i think they are doing a pretty good job at it.....and when u go and call them *******.....it astonishes me how generally a lot of the youth today look upon cops.....even some in there 20'z, there here to protect you......if u showed them some respect and didn't always critisize how they do there job...maybe they wouldn't give civic drivers such a rough time......

it'z the attitude that attracts the cops, and generally a lot of little punk kids driving in there civics have attitude

i dunno, all i'm saying is....it'z wrong to call cops *******.....

the ticket may be BS, but take a look at some stats from ppl of hte peel community....

Citizen Satisfaction

Survey 1999 (percentage of respondents satisfied with the work of the Peel Regional Police 88%

If your unhappy about how the Peel Police conduct their business.....draw attention to it then......media, emailing them...forming a group of ppl to make ur community be aware of the Peel Regions abuse and dilberate targeting of civic drivers.
See how many supporters come out, could be a cool weekend thing.

To quote a great Englishman: 'Sir, the laws an ***'...

Better?

Howza about another from an even greater Englishman: 'Kill the lawyers first'...

Here's my take: Alex, a very polite, mannerly, bright young man, has finally had it with jackass traffic cops using him/his ride as target for their 'stop/ticket ratios'...

Cut him some slack, and enough with the rhetoric already!!! I'd have called them at lot worse in this forum...

thanks anthony,

citizen satisfaction survey? lol don't start using stats with me, you can twist statistics to support any position you want easier than pie.. they're satisfied with the work of the force... which part of the work? even more so, what if i'm part of those 12%? maybe all 12% of those ppl think they're ****.. well so do i!
If you read my other posts you'll see i'm not a hateful, vengeful punk *** kid that has attitude and attracts cops in the first place... i'm exactly the opposite as anyone has met me can attest to, but sometimes enough is just enough.. how much crap should I put up with...

and about your example with the old lady, if you tried to make up a scenario any more then we'd be in fairy tale land, the fact is you CAN see my signals during the day, you haven't even seen them so you have no way of knowing, also some cars have clear turn signals stock on them, with just amber reflectors, so your 'safety factor' is lacking in many other cars..

and as far as showing respect, I do, i'm always very polite to cops, i never talk **** or try to talk it up, but sometimes enough is enough like I said earlier, after how many BS tickets is it ok for me to snap? i guess 5 isn't enough.... maybe 10? or 15? I am thinking of finding some way to bring it to everyones attention... and here on the forum one way of bringing it to everyones attention was making a post with a subject line that made everyone click on it... just like the headline of a newspaper is always controversial and brings you to read the article... the headline of my post was supposed to make you look at it.. if i had named it 'another ticket' would people have really cared? not so much...

i must say alex is one of the nicest guys ive had the pleasure to meet.

this ticket IS total BS, his car looks stock, and i can see the cop just pulling him over and just looking for something to get his pen in motion.

gee, i wonder why peel region cops have a bad rep?
could it be BS tickets like this?

once again i must say i'm glad i don't live in peel

Bad rep, , compared to other police forces, that are notorious for many other things. The Toronto Police Services, Racial Profileing etc. . . blah blah blah

Never heard anything ever about Hamilton cops....i assume they are the nicests of the bunch...

The title attracted the attention.....but when ppl come in here and post that Peel cops are *******...and just say that, and say that they have a bad rep......How do you come to this conclusion? are u just goin with the crowd here? trying to up ur post count? or just having fun?....LOL

lol it all depends on who you know and what experiences you've heard of.... I guess you either know people on the peel force or have had good experiences with them... me on the other hand, and probably dan to, have had only bad experiences with them... you've seen other ppl post, even Tman who has a friend as a cop and knows he'll pull over modded cars for fun, this seems to be a trend for some reason.... heck if i had good experiences with them then maybe i'd love them too, but i haven't had one yet, hopefully some day i will have one but as of yet i haven't had one... so till then peoples opinion will stand I guess

I only know one, James on this board. Don't like him. In fact, the other night, I saw him putting his handcuffs on a girl...

i get pulled over in sauga more times than in Burlington, and im only in sauga for like a total of 3-4 hours a week. i never got a ticket, but i was never doing anything wrong. i don't speed, i don't pull any stupid crap on the road, and my cars stock. so why am i getting all these random checks? i believe its cause he sees a young guy driving a civic, and hes got a quota that needs filling. and he wants to bust me with some bs ticket hoping i don't fight it.
illest, if you've only had good experiences, well your lucky
maybe you like having your time wasted, but i don't. ever half hour a cop wastes is a half hour of time i could have been doing homework, and other ****.

True ppl do have good and bad experinces with the law, and it'z up to the individual to handle those experinces in a mature fashion.....so yah ur entitled to have the hate.

If it'z there....... one day u will have a good experince though i hope...and u'll see that the Peel Regional Police

lol hopefully i'll see that one day.. but just like bdotdan said.. I drive all over the place, burlington, toronto, hamilton, london, everywhere... is it just coincidence that EVERYTIME i get pulled over it's in peel? the HTA applies everywhere not just here... that's what gets me, if the mods to my car were infact illegal they'd be illgal everywhere... not just in peel..

True....maybe peel is just more strict about it, to uphold a peaceful, safe roadway......

and by pulling over a lot of drivers who drive in civics etc. . .
they are maybe also checking for alcohol consumption etc. . .
Right now in Peel stopping drinking and driving is really big
and young kids do it a lot........and a lot of them drive with their g1'z

Do you get pulled over during the day SilverSiG or more towards the later hours of the night? 9pm-12am?

I'm more afraid of someone all stressed about work, driving around in a 4 ton SUV, on his cell phone conducting a meeting... speeding to another lunchtime meeting than I am afraid of a 20-something Alex, cruizing along - happy to be in his car, alert and aware and FOCUSED on driving his lil Civic. I don't give a **** about what kinda lights are at the front of your car, if you are AWARE of your surrounding, you're by no means a danger to anyone. I'm inclined to think more enthusiasts are aware of their surroundings than any other group of drivers. The occasional dumbass racing on the street... let him get thrown in jail. But for those who obey laws and drive safely, let them drive a lawnmower if they want, who cares? In England, pretty much anything goes... a tank is street legal over there. In Michigan, there is no safety inspections or emissions testing. You're on your own (cuz it's in YOUR interest for your safety) to ensure your car is in good shape.
