mods affecting inusrance ????

hey guys,
I currently just changed insurance companies ..... but now my car has been lowered and a couple of other cosmetic changes.
the car has to be taken in for inspection for pictures .... now will the insurance company jack the price because they see that the car is not stock ?

thanks

if all you have is lowering and cosmetic mods i doubt that would affect insurance. if your insurance company tries to charge you more then just change companies again.

the only mods that may affect insurance are performance bolt-ons. i know my insurance company wanted to double my premiums when they found out i had header and intake.

how did they find that out ?
It was a bitch finding a company ..... i don't want to go through it again .... because i don't have the best record ..... i mean it wouldn't be a problem to take off my rims and put on stock steelies but should i go as far as raising it and just bolting on a temporary muffler when i get my pics taken ?

Don't worry about it, they are only taking pictures to find out what you have in case of loss.

they won't even pop your hood or ask you to start your car.

exactly, if your only mod is lowered and some cosmetic dont bother returning it back to stock. only worry about performance mods affecting insurance.

Funny thing is that they pay more attention to what your deck, amp and box.
