Meloche Monnex

Alrite,

I signed up with Meloche Monnex and I have to bring my car into a shop or something (which they specify) within a month.

Now, am I going to the shop to have pictures taken? Or are they gonna check my car for mods?

ANYONE?

If i'm just going for pictures then I'm leaving my intake, exhaust and racing steering wheel on the car.

When I signed up with them I had to take mine in. They just took pictures. My car was stock at the time, so I'm not quite sure of their policy on mods.

So they didn't pop up your hood to see if you have an intake? Or like your trunk to see if you have a sub?

I had to take my eg stock hatch too. Now it isn't stock. They can't do **** to me now haha. They just take pic incase u mod your car and they don't want u scamming them saying u have this and that stuff on the car, so when it comes to claiming insurance they don't pay for that stuff because u put aftermarket parts or modefied stuff on.

Well I'm just worried because I told Meloche that the car is ALL stock.

But when I bring the car in for pics, they are gonna see that the car is modified.

I was with them for 10+ yrs. Initially I just got pics of the exterior done. No biggie. Then outta blue they called me up saying they want to take pics again. Some how they knew my car was modded. Took the car to get the pics. They took pics of EVERYTHING. This was just last year. Dropped me like a bad habit.

Fair warning dude. Try and put it back to stock b4 the pics.

the pic people came to my house...took pics of exterior to see the overall condition of the car (rust, damage etc) my car was lowered with intake and exhaust at the time and perhaps some gauges...they also took down the odometer reading which is way off now and asked if I had an alarm/starter kill....I've never been dropped from insurance for any reason like mods or anything for that matter

I'm insured with them. My dad works their. Last month I got my car repainted and put on a skirt package, they told me to go take some new pics. They only tooks pics of the exterior, the vin on the door and the odometer thats all. They wont ask you to look under your hood or anything. If you are strait with them and let them know your gonna mod you car they should be ok with it, but be ready to pay some extra $$$.

If that's the case, then why didn't they give me that option when they found out about my mods?

I mean ok, I didn't tell them in the first place but they should have mentioned that since I have done some mods then I'd have to pay extra.

I would've been cool with that. Instead of nope, we're not renewing your insurance.

Iv been with monnex for about 3 years now and they have seen every car/truck as it sat.....they saw my current truck **** canned and tucking 17" rims.....3 10" JL subs and I still only pay $140 a month....im also only 19 Since I have been with them I have owned a CRX, Civic, RX7 and an S10 with a 350 in it.....I have never payed over $200 a month

Best bet is to be straight forward and let them know what you have and such, this way you dont get ****ed over and you also get what you put into it if something happens.

thanks for the reply, that sounds like good news. I was planning on telling them about my mods, I just didnt want to get refused because they are going to be half the price compared to any other company.

I have 3rd party liability, does it matter if I have mods or not? I mean the insurance company won't cover for my car anyways.
