Licence plate covers...not permitted

Mine have a slight smoke to them but you can still see the plates clearly. Never been written a ticket or even asked about them and I have been pulled over more then enough times. Definetly a nit pik item like having to dark a tint.

well i've had my yellow one's for more 7 moths now. i also been beside, infront and behind so many cop cars in toronto, mississauga, scarborough, vaughn, etc - they never pulled me over.
i really don't know but i'll have my clear one's inside my car just in case i get hassled

I have seen cars in the middle of winter with salt and other crap on the rear plate cover, and I have to admit that I could not read the plate at all. At least w/o a cover you can read the numbers b/c they are sticking out.

any cover is illegal.
even the clear ones.
that article is misleading.
if you walk into the ministry it states even the clear ones that they sold or sell at the ministry are illegal.

maybe the ministry should be fined as well.

I'm putting slightly tinted ones on out of spite.
If I get pulled over I'll ask them how having a clearly visible plate that is protected from rust is any worse than a horribly rusted illegible piece of chet that isnt protected.

^^ the clear one's aren't illegal.... what's illegal is obstructing the plate, if you can see the plate through it and it's clear, it's not illegal... tons of cars come from the dealer with clear plate covers... as long as it's not obstructing it's legal...

a disclaimer makes them bullet proof from them getting in trouble.

what I dont understand are why in the hell people have yellow ones...those are just damn ugly and it looks like u wish you had old school dealer plates or something...say nay to coloured license plate covers (blue, pink, yellow etc)
