1 - welcome to 5 yrs ago when these things first came out

and 2 - anyone like how she's reporting from mississauga?? that's cuz the peel cops have nothing better to do other than pull ppl over for tinted plate covers, unlike the toronto cops that have real crime to fight...

as much as it is illegal (and kinda ricey IMO), i think it's just cops being nit picky about little things, cuz can anyone HONESTLY say that they have a hard time reading plates when they're behind one of those covers??

"Obstruct Plate" is the official charge...unfortunately, back in my ricey days...lol...I had a smoked plate cover/protector. I took it to court and got my charge dropped upon removal the protector.

But yea, I agree, its a nit picky charge...along with the many others that are in HTA.

any cover is illegal.
even the clear ones.

that article is misleading.
if you walk into the ministry it states even the clear ones that they sold or sell at the ministry are illegal.

^^ the clear one's aren't illegal.... what's illegal is obstructing the plate, if you can see the plate through it and it's clear, it's not illegal... tons of cars come from the dealer with clear plate covers... as long as it's not obstructing it's legal...
