Each insurance company has there own set of rules, etc. Some take pictures and some don't. IMO depending on your mods if might be worth the extra few $ a month for an increase.

I asked my insurance about $3K in extra car audio stuff and they said no problem for another $14.xx /m

However engine swaps, lower suspension could = dropped.
