Insurance On A Civic

As we all know, getting insurance for our civics cost an arm and a leg. I have just recently turned 25 and my insurance company is giving me like $100 off for the year which is a slap to the face. When you turn 25 your insurance is supposed to go down like crazy, so I want to change company.

I wanted to know who is currently having a decent deal and with who at this point in time with their insurance for their civics.

I pay about $2100.00 (175/month) for a 1998 civic si.

no tickets, accidents, 8 years experience and I live in the Jane & Finch area.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I think it might be pricey cuz you live in a high risk area, IMO that's not a horrible deal, i think you might be able to find cheaper insurance, but not by much, lol i pay $5000 a year for a 98 civic si-g, so you have nothing to complain about!! lol

It is true that teh area is high risk, but I was still expecting a considerable decrease due to the fact I turned 25. For so many years I have been told "it is because you are not 25". Well now that I am, I want them to put their money where their mouth is.....

I wouldn't think that it's that bad! Given you might be able to find another ins. company for slightly less, but they all consider the area you live in! You see you drive a 98 si and you pay 2100/yr. I'm 30 have a clean reacord 14year's experience and pay 1450/yr for a 90crx! because I live in Againcourt! High accident risk they say!

Wouldn't say that. They consider your area high risk for theft, mine for accident's. It's basically insurance's way of screwing everyone. YOu see you might wake up one morning and find your car missing, where as I might wake up and find anoter car smashed into mine. So which one is really worse?

I just got my renual......$548 for 6 months.....$1096 for the year....I still find this too much.

Going to call in the morning, and see what they say...(it went up about $40 over 6 months...or around $6 more a month.......I'm pissed.

I was paying $80 a month.......now add in the taxes becuase of the new total....... Around $90/month.

Yeah, I know, I'm older than alot of you........but that's what you get when you DON'T have tickets.

true.. use www.kanetix.com and punch in all your info. it'll give you quotes from diff companies. Mind you thou, living at JnF is gonna be a bigger factor than your age...
Went to the site....punched in all the same info that's on my renual.......guess what? Quoted me $1495 for the year. Maybe I shouldn't complain.............naw......I'm still gonna call. :working:

BPBSI: How do you have such a good price? Are you primary driver on your car? I'm paying $290/month for bare minimum coverage on an '89 Cav Z24. That's the cheapest I could find anythere. What company are you with?
