$110 fine and xx # of hours to produce an proof of insurance. If you don't have one get your insurance company to fax you or the police station asap. Might be a little hard to get out of the $110 fine since you DID'T have the slip on you at the time.

no you should leave it in ur car... but sometimes it gets misplaced, i don't know..
OP- just hope for the best, you have no defence.. its a clear cut charge... you had it or you didn't.
when you go in, dress nicely, act all confused like its your first time in court and you don't understand what to do,
act slightly scared and be respectful
and none of
"yo, JP... wad up wad up.."
wear a belt and don't walk like you have a shotgun in your pants..
you only make urself look like an idiot...
this is for everyone!!!!!

I always keep it in my wallet but somehow it wasn't there when I got pulled over.

Also the reason I got pulled over was because my license plate was on my dash. This was in April when I got into a little front end collision and I didn't have a chance to screw the plate back on. The cop was a dick, and my civic was't even modded at the time (stock).
As for the insurance, I am bringing a letter from my insurance person that says I was insured at the time that the ticket was given along with my insurance slip.
The car is under my dads name and it was stock, so I'm gonna say he forgot to give me the insurance slip when I borrowed the car from him that morning. But the license plate thing I don't know what to so.....
Plate improperly displayed: $110
Fail to surrender valid insurance: $65
Court Date: Oct 22

dude, just show up at court with your insurance papers show them the validity dates and say it was a simple mistake you were in a hurry to get somewhere and simply forgot to grab it. everyone makes mistakes right?
